Oh man, do I have the perfect Philadelphia Anniversary session to share with you today! I’ve know Adrienne for almost 2 years. I met her at a networking event after we moved to the Philly suburbs. She has mad talent as a photographer herself and we’re good friends, but that didn’t settle the nerves of photographing another photographer!
How They Met & The Proposal
Adrienne & Mike originally met on Match.com! They went to a little Thai restaurant and after dinner Mike suggested they go for a little walk… around a grocery store. Adrienne was intrigued and a little confused, but loves that they had a unique first date! Ironically as they were leaving, Mike put a quarter in one of those little toy machines to get Adrienne a silly toy, and a ring came out!! (Foreshadowing much?!) Fast forward a bit, Mike created a surprise tree, like ones that Adrienne and her sisters used to do. A surprise tree is a tree with “surprises” hanging from a string. Mike blindfolded Adrienne and led her to his surprise tree in their backyard. She pulled on a string and down came a card. After Adrienne read the card, she looked up to find Mike on one knee!!
Their Old City Philadelphia Anniversary
Fast forward 5 years from their wedding and here we are! Adrienne and Mike are such a good couple. When I asked Adrienne what her favorite thing about Mike is, she responded with the best answer. I can’t even begin to summarize it… So here it is!
“What an amazing feeling to have Mike by my side for these last five (technically almost 10) years. I’m not even sure we have spent more than a week apart, and still we only grow closer. So much learning, so much living, so many good times (and hard times, too). Having him close still makes my heart sing – Wahooo! – but also, now, it brings me a calm peace and connection. He constantly supports me, laughs with me, and is the best adventure friend I could ask for. He is always himself and never anything else. He experiences life with me, searches for purpose with me, and loves me with his entire heart. There’s no one else I’d rather spend every single day with.”
… And that my friends, is why I love my job!! I get to capture these AWESOME love stories!!
