What a whirlwind of a weekend it was last weekend! We spent most of our weekend at the Lodges at Gettysburg with two amazing couples, one got married and the other will get married there next year! The fall colors at the Lodges at Gettysburg are just amazing and the weather was perfect too :)

How They Met & The Proposal

Avery and Jim met in the marching band in college. At the end of the season Avery finally realized she wanted to get to know Jim more. They went on their first date to a restaurant just off campus and Jim insisted on picking her up rather than walking :P Almost two years ago, Avery and Jim found themselves in NYC around the holidays. Without Avery knowing, Jim had already asked Avery’s parents for permission to spend their lives together. Avery was getting annoyed with her mom because she was being super pushy about exploring times square, however she was really just trying to get them to the spot where Jim wanted to propose! In the middle of Times Square, Jim got down on one knee where Avery said YES, and they were surrounded by “papparazi” for their 5 minutes of fame in the big crowd :)

Their Fall Lodges at Gettysburg Wedding

I love being a part of so many families even if it is only for a day and this fall wedding at the Lodges at Gettysburg was no different! I am ending my 2019 season a little earlier than past years because we’re having our second baby in less than a month!! This was my last wedding of the 2019 season and I am SO thankful we had some fall colors! There are so many moments that I just loved witnessing, like Avery’s mom giving her gifts and them both tearing up, or how loving every single person was at their entire wedding. Avery and Jim have surrounded themselves with such a good group of people an their fall wedding at the Lodges at Gettysburg showed that!
