There are few BIG things you do in life that you can clearly see the direct outcome. For Emily, Luke and their friends and family, this wedding was one of them! They transformed this barn on Luke’s Parents’ property over the last year into a beautiful place to host their wedding. From moving hundreds of car parts, building a wall of doors that were repurposed for a new life, rebuilding floors, to creating a beautiful outdoor landscape, I’d say they did an amazing job!

How They Met & The Proposal

Emily and Luke first met when rock climbing. They had heard of each other through mutual friends but didn’t meet until they were on a climb! Their first date was fittingly another climb, except this time they flew to Vegas. A year ago Emily and Luke went on a trip to Italy. They flew into Venice and drove into the hills of Slovenia before ending at their hotel in Austria. During their drive through the hills of Slovenia they stopped to enjoy the first of many cappuccinos. After driving a winding road that lead to a parking lot at the base of a mountain pass, they hiked to the top of an overlook and waited for sunset. Luke set up his camera to photograph them with a remote as the sunset turned beautiful. He asked Emily to get a photo together before dropping to one knee JUST as the camera snapped the most stunning photo with a beautiful view :)

Their Newtown, PA Barn Wedding

This wedding was a true testament to how much family and friends can accomplish. Transforming a storage barn into a wedding venue is a huge undertaking and they did it in a single year!! I loved seeing Luke’s happiness as he opened a gift from Emily, which included a Patagonia hat :) Emily started telling everyone they were Patagaged and that he is going to be her Patahusband :P A few miles away on a friend’s property sits one of the most beautiful stone chapel where they hosted their ceremony. This entire wedding was such a stunning day with the most perfect weather. :)
