Last week I had the pleasure of meeting another one of our 2018 couples and MAN is it going to be a good year!! Nicole and Wes decided that the perfect place to do their engagement session is the place where in nearly exactly ONE year they’ll be saying “I do” :) Springton Manor Farm is one of my favorite places in general, but this time of year it is just spectacular! The fall colors that appear at every corner of the property are just breathtaking.
How They Met
Nicole and Wes met on move-in day at Lock Haven University their first day of college. One of Nicole’s friend mentioned that a few people from her high school were also moving in and invited her to go meet them. One of those friends just so happened to be Wes. This would be the natural, “the rest is history!” moment, but Nicole wasn’t actually available when she met Wes so their love story started a little later once Nicole was available and realized that both her and Wes had eyes for each other the entire time :) They went on the fanciest of first dates… to the dining hall! I’m sure it was a very intimate and romantic first date, surrounded by 100+ other students :P In the end, something went right because these two are still together and SO in love!
The Proposal
Upon occasion Wes is known to put on a song and ask Nicole to dance at home. They love slow dancing together at the end of the night, so when Nicole came back in from walking her sister to her car and Wes asked her to dance, she didn’t sense any red flags. They danced together to their song and Nicole reluctantly allowed herself to be “spun around” by Wes. What Nicole didn’t expect was that when she finished her spin, Wes would be on one knee!
Their Springton Manor Farm Fall Engagement
We met up at Springton Manor Farm to a beautiful fall evening, complete with the best fall colors! We did their engagement session exactly one day less than one year from when these two will be saying I do at Springton Manor Farm :) I was surprised to find out that this was actually Wes’s first time to the property, and I would definitely say he approved!
