Wow, that’s what comes to mind when I think about this wedding at the Harvest View Barn. I am always amazed at how wonderful the barn looks at any time of year and this early fall wedding was no different. The willow tree was so magical, let alone all of the lush florals AND the ceremony arbor that Alyssa & Shawn built themselves!
How They Met & The Proposal
Alyssa and Shawn grew up in New York and actually met in elementary school where they were a grade apart! Their parents were friends through most of their childhood but it wasn’t until a few years ago that they reconnected and went snowmobiling while on winter break. After four years of dating Shawn took Alyssa to the spot where one day they’ll build their dream home. Just imagine it… you’re in the middle of a field, on the top of a hill, overlooking a mountain ridge and farmland and the love of your life asks you to be his forever. Probably the most picturesque thing of all time and that is just where Alyssa said YES to her forever with Shawn!

Their Harvest View Barn Wedding
Talk about the most perfect day! Alyssa and Shawn were all smiles from the moment we arrived and it continued through the entire day :) I love getting to experience the different relationships that have such meaning to our couples and one that stood out was Alyssa’s relationship with her dad. After getting dressed the first man Alyssa wanted to see was her dad and I’m pretty sure there wasn’t a dry eye in the room. His reaction to seeing his daughter ready to get married made me flash forward to what I HOPE is the reaction my husband has to seeing our daughter get married (in like 100 years)!
