Ben and Kristin’s purple and silver wedding at the Lodges at Gettysburg was one of my favorites of the year!! Their entire day was filled with so much love and we were so honored to be a part of it :)
Ben and Kristin met on move-in day of college when Kristin’s dad asked Ben and his brother to help move some of her larger items. Being the kind and stand-up guys they are, they happily obliged. When they wouldn’t accept any compensation for helping, Kristin’s dad promised that Kristin would take him out for a beer sometime!
I’d say Kristin has a lot for which to thank her dad ;) A few months later Kristin finally got a hold of Ben to ask him out for that beer. She also made sure to clarify it wasn’t an open invitation, making it that she was really asking him out on a date :)
After sending a NEWS FLASH out to her closest family and friends (which her MOH surprisingly recalled during her toast :P) and updating them of this development, they knew something was up. There was just that one thing that she grew up saying… she would never marry a pastor! Ben just so happens to be a Lutheran Pastor…
Luckily they didn’t let that minor detail stop them from forming a beautiful bond and a one of a kind love. Their family and friends laughed, cried, played games, his brother even wrote a song for his toast and together, they danced the night away! It was one party we absolutely did not want to leave!
To Ben and Kristin, it was such an honor to document your love and see the joy in your eyes as you finally said “I do.” The excitement of your families was overwhelming and we are privileged to have seen the two of you through their eyes. Thank you for making us feel like a special part of your day. I can’t wait to see what the future holds for such an amazing and loved couple.
